Bidrage med feedbackMy son was visiting from California for a short weekend, and we had planned to go out to dinner to enjoy our time together before he returned home the next day. The Blue Mussel, which had been highly recommended by friends, was unfortunately closed when we arrived at our reserved time. The building was completely dark, leaving us unable to answer any of the questions we had. We were extremely disappointed.
It seems like the restaurant is closing down! There is no wine selection and there are no other diners in sight. What a shame.
I am extremely dissatisfied and unable to provide any feedback.
Service was horrendous. We waited at the bar for fifteen minutes watching the bartender not serve us as she scrambled around unable to find the correct beer or liquor for customers. The food was terrible. My Shrimp Scampi was very bad and her steak frites were tough and tough and unable to be chewed. The fries were lower quality than fast food restaurants. When the waitress was told about the food, she said that someone else had complained about the same thing that night. Yet, while a couple items were removed from the menu, this was not. Everything about this experience was horrible. By far, this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. The staff seemed very disorganized also.
We made a reservation here to try something new before a show. Our waitress did not know the beer and wine menu despite the fact that they had only 4 types of beer available, Pabst, Naraganset, and two other beers we had never heard of. I asked for the wine menu ands told they didn't have one. I asked what kind of white wine they carried. She replied Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. I asked what brand they were and she didn't know. There was nobody in the room we were seated and very few in the other rooms. The menu was also limited but we were going to give it a try until we dealt with the waitress. We left without having a drink or eating and had to search for someplace else to eat with limited time before the show. I would never go here again.
