Cosmic Cowboy Grill - Coeur d'Alene

Black bean and sweet potato dish was delicious, light and refreshing. it was both vegan and gluten-free. all menu items are selected to indicate whether they are vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and/or milk-free.

Grilled tofu was particularly good and available to exchange for meat. very good impossible burger.

Our fourth station on our eating trip from big timber to bellingham was cosmic cowboy. Last night after a dive in the lake we ordered the dinner for us and our four famated children. I hope that our experience was an isolated incident that emerged from misunderstandings and busy employees, but we ended the night a little disappointed. we ordered 4 about burger, a happy hippy wrap, and a mushroom swiss (one not vegan among us I asked for the burger to be made vegan, and only after getting our food back to the hotel I knew that this must have meant without the bungalow. the package was tiny, but tasty, and the pommes were divine (like pommes tend to be hehe.) I wish we had recommended vegan burgers, does not mean a bungalow, since the children had eaten a messier and less filling dinner than we would have liked for $100.

What a nice find! Variety of fresh options. Good beer on tap. Family friendly. Cool spot, and of course, the music was good. We enjoyed the black bean sweet potato bowl, happy hippie wrap, and berry salad. Cute place with the right idea, has a few menu items, and sides to choose from. Largest complaint is that twice I have eaten their and they serve diced sweet pot that are still slightly raw. They need to evaluate cook times. Salsa, guacamole and chips could use a bit elevation of flavor and less salt!
