Frankly this of the top, the place this simply beautiful, the hospitality and kindness of the master of the places and the cleanliness of the room makes our stay unforgettable. Thank you, Erika.
We booked our last minute stay on a busy Costa Rican holiday weekend holiday weekends in in Costa Rica drive huge populations from the city to the beach, filling hotels to capacity. Eric (proprietor) was gracious and understanding of our last minute need to get out of the city and decompress, if even for a short stay. Upon arrival after being immediately greeted, upon stepping out of our car, by a rather large troupe of Capuchin Monkeys (many of which were mothers with child), Erica was friendly and welcoming, and got us settled into wonderful, spacious, and beautifully crafted rooms. Only 100 steps from the entrance Parque Nacional Cahuita, we were off communing with nature within 15 minutes of our arrival. Driving to dinner in Manzanillo was a bit of a hassle due to holiday revelers, so we diverted back to Puerto Viejo for fantastic and authentic Caribbean home cooking at Lilly's (highly recommend it). After a short, 15 minute drive, we were back at Kelly Creek. Next morning, after being the first to enter Parque Nacional Cahuita for a two hour hike, I returned to the hotel where the rest of my party were just sitting down to a hearty continental breakfast and some intriguing conversation with Eric. Having travelled Costa Rica for more than 25 years, and lived in Country 5 years, I've experienced the best and worst that more that 60 Costa Rica hotels have to offer. Erica and Kelly Creek Hotel easily ranks among the best of my experiences.
We had a few wonderful days in Kelly's Creek. The B&B is located in the best spot in Cauhita just a couple of meters of Playa Blanca and the entrance of the national park. The clean, wooden rooms are very spacy and cozy with hammocks on the veranda, which are ideal for relaxing. Erika is everything you can expect from a perfect host. She serves tasty coffee and homemade jam for breakfast, gives useful advice and information and always has time for its guests. We therefore highly recommend Kelly's Creek. ps. watch out the peaceful and tame house-caiman. Adi and Sandra
Thanks for everything Erica! ! ! Great place. The location is perfect, everything so close and sleeping next to the sea was amazing. We hope to go back.
