Prairie Smoke Country Kitchen

All customers crammed into a small part of the restaurant for convienience of the one waitress. The cook came out to chat to her friends for 20 minutes while the diners waited. Hostess cleaned a few tables but chatted to her friend for most of the evening. When the food arrived, it was marginal, should have stayed home. We will never be back.

Prairie Smoke Country Kitchen was truly a country kitchen. The menu offered some of you typical selections, such as burgers, ribs, salads, etc but it included some sides that come from Eastern Europe or a farmer's country kitchen. Prices are reasonable.

My wife and I had breakfast and it was excellent. I had the special, waffles with fruit and my wife had pancakes the size of small car hubcaps! She could only finish one of the three she was served. Service was excellent and pricing was good. Will be back and this will be our new Sunday morning breakfast stop.

I asked my wife where she wanted to go for her birthday dinner with 8 other family members. We talked about a few places in Cochrane and remembered the Prairie Smoke. Well we were all in for a very pleasant surprise, every one had something different off the very interesting menu. The food was fantastic and very tasty, everyone was very satisfied with their food, and the service was great. The cook came out and asked if everything was ok and cooked to their taste. We all had a great time and we will be back and tell friends to check it out. My wife and myself are headed there for breakfast this morning, so see you there!

Unfortunately, all I could eat was 3/4 of a rack. Not the best ribs around, just average. Perhaps they should try another supplier. Ordered the chicken spicy bites too, stay away from them. Frozen and microwaved. Breakfast menu is good though. Service was friendly and fast.
