MacKay's Cochrane Ice Cream Ltd

The best ice cream in southern Alberta. Every week end there is a long line - up out the door...Locals and Calgarians frequent this store...My grandchildren love this place.

When you think of Cochrane you usually think of McKay's Ice Cream. For good reason! This is some of the best ice cream west of the Atlantic Ocean. Sometimes the line ups are long, but that gives you time to ponder the huge menu. The price is a bit scary but as a treat well, you decide. I had a double "Orange" something and wow!

We have visited this ice cream shop multiple times and their products are excellent! They offer a wide variety of flavors to choose from. My personal favorite is Kulfi! The customer service is also very friendly.

Superb ice cream. Superb, friendly & helpful staff. A great original family run ice cream 'parlour'. We visited mid-day Friday, not too busy and didn't wait long. Took longer to choose our flavours than to eat them

Worth the wait in line on a hot day for sure! This is a little gem worth stopping at anytime your passing through. Staff are super friendly and more importantly the ice cream is amazing! Do yourself a favor and stop in!
