Backyard - Coastal South Carolina

The Chilled Tower had 18 oysters and 12 shrimp and everything was fantastic! My wife had Buffalo shrimps that were not too sharp at all. The teenager had a burger. There are two Pattys and he loved it! The atmosphere and service are perfect.

The food was well prepared and is fair value for money. My only sign is that all cheeses with fish. I'm sure it's good, but cheese and seafood don't sit well with me. The tuna pot was delicious and the best we had. Fish and chips were fine, but I'd like to have some extras in the dough. Plain fried dough is good, but also paprika or lemon or old bay or something else would have been appreciated. The ulcered chicken was good, but heavy on the heaviness and was a bit much. It sounds like we didn't fight very adventurously, but as I said, I didn't want cheeses.

Atmosphere was pleasant, live music, gentle lighting outside with servers that are running around trying to meet the needs of the girls. Typically for most restaurants they have either new staff or short staff, which is very the norm wherever we travel, but if given the time and wait the staff do the best they can and make the difference in hospitality! One of the party members had to wait a few minutes longer for their meal, which was a freshly grilled black grouper about tasty brews... Well worth waiting and our server Anthony went to wait by making a free key limecake. If you are not in a hurry, take the atmosphere and relax, you will treat properly.

Our server Andy was amazing!! 5 stars only for your amazing hospitality. Our oysters were fantastic. The atmosphere has been covered, but it is always good to watch sports while you enjoy food! Very recommended!! The oysters were HUGE! It was easy to get in and out. Fantastic experience!

Granted, we went in the middle of the afternoon when it may have been a bit slower than normal. Also, our kiddo was not with us. We got double-catch seafood platter and it was SO good. Pricey, but when you’re at the beach…ya know. Waiter was awesome too. Loved the live band as well.
