Bidrage med feedbackMade the mistake of bringing my mom here for dinner to celebrate her birthday. Party of 6 and 4 people ordered the filet, 3 of which were severely overdone. No one else wanted to complain but I sent mine back and asked if they could remake it. The waiter returned a few minutes later with his phone light shining on the steak stating it looked overdone because of the lighting but it was medium rare. A bit insulting to hear that they didn’t think I understood how my steak was cooked. I confirmed it was not medium rare and asked them to please remake it. The second one came back medium well. At this point my friend who initially didn’t want to send it back hadn’t gotten through half of hers because she said it was so chewy and dry. The manager came over in an attempt to assess the situation. He took both our steaks and had them remade. At this point everyone else had finished eating. Two “complimentary” desserts were thrown in but we were charged gratuity on them in the end. The only thing this place has going for them is the ambiance. Don’t waste your special occasions here.
Had been hearing great things about this place so we decided to have the in-laws anniversary dinner there last November. Because our party was big 20+ , we had to be seated outside. Keep this in mind if planning to attend with a large group. Service was excellent and all raved about the food. All in all, a good experience which led us to visit the establishment again. The second time around, experience was subpar, to say the least. Table was on the small side party of two , which resulted in shuffling of dinnerware for most of the night. Sides and drinks were good. Wife had the 8oz filet, I had the coffee rubbed ribeye, both of which were over cooked both ordered medium . Seasoning/flavor was good on both steaks but the ribeye was gristly. Wait time between appetizer/salad fried green tomatoes and Caesar salad, both of which were great and entree was long, approximately 40-45 minutes. Restaurant was not particularly busy for a Saturday night, so not sure what the issue was. Service was very good.Given the price of the food $200+ , the expectation is that every visit is hit out of the ballpark. The nail in the coffin for me was the quality/cut of the ribeye, which was not “prime” at all.Bottom line: spend your money at Chukchansi’s Vintage Steakhouse or Fleming’s.P.S. In laws told us what they really thought poor quality, overcooked steaks after we voiced the displeasure of our second visit.
I had been wanting to try this place for at least a couple years and wanted to go on a special occasion so on my 17th anniversary, i reserved a spot for us at 13. Upon arriving late, they were very accommodating and friendly towards us.Service was great, maybe even a little extra. Our waitress was awesome. She didn't mind making suggestions and gave descriptive info like ingredients and etc., which helped me to pick the right items for my palette that evening. My gripe having too many workers asking us if we were done with our food and one took my plate when I wasn't done with it. Aside from that, I was glad the manager on shift comes out to check on his guests for service. The food was good for the most part. We had the tomahawk, cooked to the right temp. The only bad thing was the wedge salad. Not that it didn't taste like it should but I can easily make one at home for a fraction of the cost but frugality was not the end goal in mind. I was a bit disappointed about having sent out a brown, wilted piece of lettuce tucked in there. Although it can be easily overlooked, why would i to pay much for a simple wedge salad, minus quality control? But overall, i was happy with the sauteed mushrooms and asparagus (in lieu of seasonal vegetables). My favorite part was the chimmichurri sauce for our steak. ? Oh, and the mixed drink. I forget the name but all thanks to the waitress who suggested it.We had a great time and really enjoyed the ambience of this place. Thanks for a memorable celebration.
Was really let down by this place. With the premium price I was expecting a premium experience. Spent about $2,000 all plates were consistently over cooked. Not even in the right ballpark on the internal steak temperatures. The meat was also a surprisingly poor grade, had gristle etc. The sides were good as were the drinks, but sadly each of the entrees (we had a group of 10) were sorely below par. The service was also only so so. I won't be returning.
Ok. So here’s the deal. The food is great…but what’s severely lacking is the food cost relative to location. If you’re gonna spend hundreds on dinner I better feel like it’s a “night on the town”…a higher priced menu in a non metropolitan “neighborhood strip center” is very very hard to justify these costs. That’s just the business person in me. I wish the owners nothing but love and hope every supports them!
