Bidrage med feedbackI stopped in here while visiting from out of state, and I was not disappointed. The bar is nicely decorated in the usual tiki fashion, and the drinks and food were fantastic. The entire bar staff was friendly and attentive, and indulged me while I talked with them about nerdy tiki things like recipe books and how they make their orgeat. Porco's was the highlight of my Cleveland trip. I just wish they had their own mugs, I like to buy one from every tiki bar I visit. I made do with a Mai Tai glass instead.
I had a fantastic time on a quiet Wednesday night here thanks to the gorgeous atmosphere, delicious drinks, and amazing staff. I think I picked a good time to pop in, because getting to chat with the folks behind the bar was a treat. They were super friendly and fun to talk to but also really knowledgeable about their drinks and about tiki in general. For the drinks, I went with the Saturn to check out their falernum and orgeat, and it was really good not overly sweet and really showed off the ingredients. Their Pink Flamingo, my second drink, was a great elevation of a colada. And the environment! It's so great. Moody and colorful, just the way a tiki bar should be. I think I'd be a regular if I lived in the city.
Porco was a lot of fun. They have a huge menu of tiki drinks, separated by octane level. The descriptions are super vague citrus, passion, etc, so you either need to guess, or be chatty with the bar staff. I recommend the latter the bartender was really friendly and he knows his stuff. I had a couple of drinks, all with a citrus vibe. The fogcutter involves dry ice in some way it came out foggy and crackling! My favorite was the Holo Holo, which even came with a flower garnish that you can bet I was wearing by the time we left. They have a pretty decent snack menu. The tofu got good reviews, we put away at least 4 orders of fries between us, and I really enjoyed the shrimp tempura tacos, with puffy flour wraps and big crunchy shrimps. It was just warm enough to sit out by the fire pits for a bit, and I will certainly be back for that this summer!
The decor is fun, you definitely will forget you 're in Cleveland for a bit. There is a huge selection of tiki drinks to choose from, and although the descriptions are somewhat vague, whatever you choose is bound to be delicious. The bar staff is helpful and fun to talk to, so if you can 't decide, they 'll surely point you in the right direction. I ordered my favorite, the painkiller, and had it upgraded with Pussers rum. I also ordered the planet of the apes . Both were strong, tasty, and served in fun glasses with fun garnishes. The bartender noticed I was interested in their impressive swizzle stick collection that was encased in the bar top and loaded me up with a bunch of their own swizzle sticks to start my own collection! Service was great, drinks were amazing, and the experience was fun. I 'd definitely come back.
I recently visited Porco while visiting Cleveland. I had read about the incredible tiki bar and it did not disappoint. I rolled in about happy hour time on Friday. I was fortunate to find a single seat at the bar. The bartender took great care of me throughout my visit. I had a few cocktails, a rum flight, and some food. Everything was top notch. I probably spent too much time here, but I really enjoyed every minute of it. The drinks, food and service were outstanding. This spot is on the top of my list to return next time I am in Cleveland.
