Auberge des Lacs Bleus - Clérac

Just moved to Clerac and this is our local restaurant/bar - how lucky are we? Have eaten here regularly and the food is always first-class - and very reasonably priced - a three course lunch with wine for 12 euros. The owner and his wife are delightful and the ambiance is friendly. They play fabulous blues in the evening. There's free wifi for patrons. Now tat the sun is out, there's a bug terrace so you can eat outside, plus the bar and two restaurants. Can't recommend it enough!

We stopped at the motorhome aire near the pond for the night and came across this gem of a restaurant on a walk around the village We were a group of four adults and all opted for the four course set menu and were not disappointed every course was excellent

This place is very uncomplicated but also very nice. Food quality is normal and price is good. The waiter was friendly and quick. If you want nice food in a relaxed way this is a good place. No uggly music in the background

A simple 'workman's restaurant' in Clerac BUT the food was wonderful for the price, and the service even better. 3 courses and wine for €13 euros each we were a party of five. Buffet style starter of salads, charcuterie, escargot, etc was delicious. All mains were wonderful. Steak, omelette, Toulouse sausage were well received. Desserts of creme caramel, cheeses, and ice cream were devoured. The (included) house wine www wonderful. The guy who served us was amazing, and the owners greeted us with kisses, friendship and love. We shall be back. Only ten minutes away from the house, it's a regular destination. Thank you !!

Not a lot of restaurants in the area and this is clearly the best. The lunch set menu is well priced and if you go for the plat du jour you won't be let down. The outdoor seating area is very nice in the summer months.
