Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped in on a whim on a Thursday at about 5:15. There were only 5-6 others in the restaurant. It was a GREAT time to dine as it becomes crowded as the evening progresses. I had the Monster Roll (cooked) for $16 which was very good and big. Their special included uni from California….not Boston. My husband had that and sushi platter, both of which were quite good with generous portions. All were filling. Total bill to include one beer was $70. If we were staying longer, we would return. (It was within easy walking distance from the Fairfield Hotel north of downtown. Restaurant is on a side street, away from busy Mandalay Street)
This place is really good and authentic. yes, they are pricy even for tourist area, but the sizes of their sashimi are 30% larger than where I come from. the fried rice I ordered for my child is also excellent, with the right taste and aroma of wok stirred fried plate. btw, sushi level fish must be flash frozen, it is normal to then serve the fish to the correct temperature.
I wanted to love this place. photos looked amazing, service seemed fun, but the sushi itself was terrible. the Habachi chicken was good. but from 7 rolls we ate 1. when the server asked if we wanted a box and we expressed that we were not and that we were not happy with the food, the answer gave us only our controls and say ok. there was no effort to find another choice. for $150 to starve was crazy. I really hope that this was only one night, but what we can't get up well at all and can't get up soon after that. ? I love sushi and hate that this was the experience we have here.
Fantastic place, fresh sushi, amazing eating. really a hidden gem that is very defoamed from the outside. the service was super friendly and the ambiente was quite intimate. the Mojito sake was great, the early roll were awesome, the noodles were brilliant and the sushi and sushi rolls were so good!
Everything I love about a sushi restaurant and they also offer other dishes. Traditional sushi and fun rolls too. Specials with fresh fish they got in that day. One sushi chef but he stayed on top of the orders. Small inside also has outside seating. Small but sufficient sake and drink menu.
