Tequila's Mexican Grill And - Clearlake

I am from Mexico and I am very picky about my Mexican food. This place was really good, the food was fresh and tasty and the staff was pleasant. Very few customers so we didn't have to wait long for our food. We are La Parrillada,this is not for two, this is for four people. So yum!!

Used to be amazing here. On my most recent visit, the restaurant was empty. Everyone working had a poor attitude. All 3 people I had bought food for had agreed that the quality of the food had diminished significantly. All of our food was cold and I was on time to pick it up. The chicken in my tacos was cooler then room temp. No flavor. No spice. All of our food tasted and looked like there was zero effort put into it. I Won't be coming back, And just another reason why I miss cactus grill so much.

The shrimp was still raw. Don't know what to say about that. I ain't trying to get sick or seafood poisoning.

Always love the food and service. You experience the quality of their food as soon as the on the house chips and salsa are served. The salsa is perfectly seasoned and the strawberry margaritas are on point. I love that they have pool, foosball, and air hockey tables. My family enjoys tequilas often.

I have eaten here probably 10 times in the past couple years. The food is always good. I always get takeout so I can’t speak to the environment or the table service. The reason I have it rated so low is that the food always messes up my stomach every time I go. I wake up in the middle of the night with pain and bathroom issues. It took me a few times of eating it to find out exact what was causing it. I think I have narrowed it down to something they put in the carne asada. The times I’ve had other meat it doesn’t happen. They have a lot of different options and they are all good. Just don’t get the asada.
