Bidrage med feedbackI think mixed drink is a bit expensive. Beer is normal price. We got a sandwich and it was good. I like the atmosphere and the staff is nice.
I guess I'll start off with the positive input. The atmosphere was very nice, and riding the elevator to the restaurant was pretty cool. Enjoyed a craft beer that I hadn't tried before, and then we waited, and waited, and waited for our food. Granted, there was a large party ahead of us, but my husband and I only ordered a salad and a sandwich for our entrees. It took about 20 minutes just to get our appetizers of soup and stuffed mushrooms, and then another 40 mins for our entrees. We spent at least and hour and a half there. When we asked the waitress what was up, her response was that the food for the party ahead of us was taking the cook a while to prepare, and that they were ahead of us so their order took priority. That would be totally acceptable only they were a party of 12, and we were a party of 2, AND we were the only two parties in the restaurant. Mind you the menu consists of some appetizers, dips, salads, and sandwiches. He wasn't cooking a 5 course meal for the 12 or so of them! The bar manager finally addressed the situation and comped our appetizer. Our food also came out shortly there after. My general assessment: the staff is inexperienced and doesn't have their priories straight. You don't let a party of 2 wait an hour for their entrees, and if you only have one cook on that night, they better be prepared for a large party. We also think we walked by the cook on our way in smoking a cigarette. He came back into the restaurant after we were sat... So that's cool. Food was fine and the place looked nice, but the service was highly disappointing.
Great people, great view, and the most complete bar that I've seen in the county! I'm gonna try their signature soup and a salad for lunch tomorrow and let you know how the food is.
We stopped in here last Saturday night for a bite on our way from PA to Huntington, WV. Starts with a fun elevator trip to the 5th floor. As the elevator opened, you can appreciate the building's architecture and history. The space was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Food was decent; drink selection was great. It would seem this is more bar than restaurant, but a very comfortable and fun feel. A few miles off of I-79, but check this place out if you are on your way through WV.
Very friendly server during the day. I highly suggest the turkey club wrap and the French dip.
