Tarantella's - Clark

Haven't been here since I was a kid, but was pleasantly surprised that they are still around after the pandemic. They seem to have renovated recently and it looks really nice inside! On a Friday night it was hopping and felt a bit crowded. But otherwise everything was great! The service we had was excellent!! Food was really good as well, what you would expect for a typical Italian restaurant in NJ though. Glad that they still had the fruit sorbet on the dessert menu!

Great place for a party! Delicious food, great service, and reasonable price. Highly recommend!

So I had my birthday dinner there. I told them over the phone it would be 30 or 35 people so they did a verbal agreement over the phone saying that I would have to pay for whatever people didn't show up and I would have to do buffet style so I chose five entrees and I got a salad and antipasto and when the day came. They kept staring at us to make sure I had 30 to 35 people and then they charge me for the people didn't show up at also a 20% tip for buffet style they didn't even serve us. I never heard of that and I lived in Clark 40 years and I love that restaurant for a long time that was a good restaurant but I will never step my foot back in there. The people that work there are horrible people they didn't even care I told him that it shouldn't be my fault that the people didn't show I didn't sign a written agreement. I don't even know if what they did to me was legal like I said I'll never step foot back in there ever again and the laughable part is they told my friend that if she comes back she can get a free dessert. I said you ripped me off and you also bullied me and all you offer me is a free dessert.

This star rating just popped up on my feed, looks like I reviewed this Clark, NJ staple like four years ago, as a 3 star. We have been back and number of times and I now give it 4 stars. Almost like a Jersey diner with the wide variety of menu options more than just an Italian place. No baklava, though. We enjoy family outings here at least once or twice a year now.

Great Italian restaurant in Clark. Well established eatery. Large bar area, nice dining area, and a Pizzeria section. The chicken dishes are usually excellent. We love the parmigiana and the marsala. Good selection of sauteed pasta dishes. Pizza is thin crust, NY style. Service is usually top notch. Takeout available. Adequate free parking.
