Clarion River Brewing Company

Passing through Clarion, PA en route to Ohio and dined at Clarion River Brewing Company last night. Very cute town a mile or two away from the highway and strip malls and fast food joints. Our waitress (Sarah, i believe) was lovely and the service was very good but slow. However, my sense is that it was just a busy Friday night and perhaps they were a little understaffed. However, everything was very good. My brother had the ribeye special and it was cooked perfectly. I had pasta with vodka sauce and shrimp (another special) and the restaurant created a dish for my mother, a side of grilled shrimp with mashed potatoes and brocolli. Including a pint of beer (brown ale) that was very tasty, a pinot Grigio and one coffee, the bill was under $80...Amazing! Five stars for value for sure. This is a pub/comfort food place and from what I could see, the regulars were ordering the house Mac n cheese with BBQ chicken or buffalo...etc, burgers and other specials and everything looked great. Even at 8pm the place was hopping. I highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area.

Hit up this place during a volleyball tourney. Sprung a table of 19 volleyball parents on them. Our server, Amanda, was amazingly attentive. Beers and food were awesome. We had the slop chips (fresh chips with pork and goodies. Amazing. Nice work people!

We ate here tonight for dinner. The food and service were fantastic. Our waitress was extremely friendly and quick to greet us. They also used food runners so you get everything in a timely manner. The quality of the food was also excellent. Thank you for rescuing the night as we tried to eat somewhere else and it didn't work out well. I highly recommend Clarion River.

The BBQ pork mac n cheese was AMAZING. The service was also great. Our waitress had a good sense of humor.

The service was very good!! Avocado Cobb salad was delicious!! Fish tacos were huge but a little too greasy for our taste.
