Il Contado - CIVITA CASTELLANA

I have been many times in this restaurant both lunch and dinner both for pizza and meat oer and for fixed menu. I always felt good. The grilled meat is exceptional dissolves in the mouth. Pizza is a world champion, there are many tastes and is very good. It has an outdoor space for the summer, inside it has more than one room. There is a large room that can be reserved to have a private and exclusive dinner.

Special thanks for making us eat even if close to closing time. Treated with gloves and kindness aside all the staff. Selection of first choice meats, tasting of exceptional hams served with focaccia. Fried mushrooms that knew of fungus. Eat steak of Prussian meat wrapped in fat that made it mormid and ripped Iberian cooked to perfection and served already detached from the bone. Broccoletti with excellent taste. We will definitely return to try also the first dishes with homemade pasta.

I was at the end of August 2023 with other couples with children to eat a pizza and a steak with friends.... Never again... The bill was very salty because we didn't eat anything... The steak that given for 1.6 kg had a bone of 1 kg, was not even cut in the right direction, a bottle of 18 euro wine was warm that it did not drink, an arancino and a 10 euro pumpkin flower, they also put two extra water that were not there, pessimi... My Audi parked along the head of the provincial road because the parking was full..... The pizzas weren't bad and the unique star he gives is just for this...

I went to the Contado to try the world champion pizza, along with a group of friends. Dinner was quite pleasant but the service was bad! Waiters and waiters totally incapable and slow in satisfying the simplest demands. For example I asked for 3 times to change a dirty glass and eventually I had to get up and take it myself on another table. But the worst note came with the bill. After a check, I realized that they had been inserted 5 products never ordered that had made rise of about 25 euros the account! This is not a mistake...!!! By pointing out, the right count came, no excuse from anyone. Never see us again!

All very good from appetizer to dessert, very few waiting list of wines very cared for. Impeccable service. I will definitely return.
