The food reminds of New Orleans's Gumbo and Jambalaya creole specialties.
Great little Haitian diner. Food was great, with nice portions for the price. We were guided through the menu and loved what we were recommended, the Stew Chicken. Next time we will adventure out and try something out of our comfort zone. Not a lot of seating, some bar stools and a bar top. Great for takeout, though.
Alright, lemme just preface by saying that I'm originally from a smalltown in southwest Indiana where the most exotic food spots we have are mexican food.I have never had Haitian or Creole food before, and I've been aware of this place since I moved here. Regretting not going here sooner, because I'm gonna be moving away. Definitely woulda been a frequent of mine!I had the curry chicken with red beans and rice fried plantains and cabbage. Everything tasted like it was homemade, or like it was cooked by a hard working mother. And it was DEFINITELY portioned like it was made by a mother, good god. I'm a big eater that usually finishes her food, but there was just so much of it... I effectively got a big dinner and a big midnight snack for $18, very very fairly priced. The chicken and the rice were the highlights for me, also I highly recommend mixing a piece of cabbage with a bite of rice!If you're around, check this place out. Support your local businesses y'all.
