I nearly missed this gem…arriving dangerously close to the 7pm hour (closing time). The owner/chef was so gracious and offered up a piping hot, fresh plate. Best jerk chicken in town! Warm welcome from the staff, great experience

Visiting from New Orleans and a friend took us here. I didn’t expect much from a soul food restaurant, since I am a southern girl and good cook I am told, BUT I WAS BLOWN AWAY!!! The JD turkey wings, Mac Cheese, Cabbage and yams!! And don’t forget the potato salad. We LOVED EVERYTHING. The entire staff was friendly and professional. We will be back. It was five of us and we had the rib, chicken, turkey wings, …All cooked to perfection!

Had the turkey wings with Mac cheese and sweet potatoes, ribs, and baked chicken, the turkey wings were amazing, succulent and flavorful, I think I’ll try the jerk turkey wing next, my only issue with the place is there isn’t enough space to eat inside but food-wise it’s a 9/10

This place is awesome, serving up some good, heart warming, and filling food for the soul. I don’t get soul food nearly enough but this was some of the best I’ve had. I went with Jack Daniels ribs, cabbage and mac&cheese. The ribs were super tender and full of flavor and the sides hit the spot. This was home style cooking at its best! I’ll be back!
