Santos Anne - City of New York

I give this place a chance and will probably go again, but eating is seriously slipped in quality. I love her backyard and her cocktails are good. I was at several places for brunch and dinner and watched the decline (make) . I hope you'll eat better.

Atmosphere and thanks to good menu bad needs work and asa texan the burrito and tacos sub par but guacamole well.. good for drinks and outdoor area and live music, but not expect to get great food. also the service was very slow and not busy when we went

First I start eating. our guacamole was in order, and the chips that came with it were clearly the cheap chips that they got in a ballpark to dip into their melted cheese, so we were disappointed. $10 for guacamole and that's the best they have? we also ordered it spicy, and as our spicy margaritas there was no hint at all on spicy. our food came (duck tacos, they were from lamb and queensadilla) and both were pretty good. there was no salsa found with the guac or with the food. Perhaps I had false expectations of Mexican food? what that saved was the ambiente and our server. she was amazing and I would like to go back to sit in her section. also there was live music and we had a perfect cozy little table. Finally we have tried the mixed pfeffermargarita and finally got something spicy in our lives! they and the ambiente turned our experience around and I would shoot it again for them. if I could only remember their names!

I had made a reservation for 6 people on Friday at 14:00. they called me the day before to confirm, so I thought we were all ready. when we showed up on the restaurant, it was completely empty and dark, except for a confused man at the bar. (because I was here several times and had never experienced such a greeting) I mentioned my reservation and he said wherever. we then got brunch/lunch menus and met on drinks selection. the same man who sat us came back and said he gave us the wrong menus, so he made them for dinner menus where of course everything was more expensive (margaritas were $10 instead of $8 etc). three of us ordered cocktails and he said none of them is only margaritas, and some wein and beer. After we had ordered margaritas, it took 15/20 minutes to make margaritas from a pre-created mix and bring back a filled beer. we then tried to order lunch where we were met with a large washing list of meals and objects that were not available. also the frit was broken so that everything that was asked was also from the question. the menu was cut by more than half. After we went through several options and were told no, we could order. eating, literally the only table at the place, took 40 minutes to get out and was sub par, which was disappointing because in the past it was great. the cherry was above that after everything was said and done, we asked for the review (the lasted another 20 minutes to get out) and then he told us just to apologize. that was never the case in the past; finally, during the meal, a moist dirty odour kept in and out of the escap. none of us ended our courts unnecessarily saying I will not return to santos anne. if they see that they only have a reservation on a rather slow day, I would suggest that they cancel it so that they do not lose a returning customer business forever.

Nice, small and intimate location for a Sunday date.
