First time in NY and looking for a good sandwich place near our hotel. Just got off the train and was lucky enough to spot this place across the street. The reviews were great so we headed over. Cashier and cook were kind enough to make recommendations. Philly cheese steak was tasty and half the price (9$ of the other places we looked up. Overall food and service A !

Always consistent and always delicious. The guys here are great and the selection of snacks, drinks, and candy is excellent. Oscar makes a mean pastrami egg and Swiss on the grill and the cashier is nice as well. Definitely recommend.

There are lots of corner stores and deli's in Queens, but I was just getting off the train and Plaza Deli presented itself. It is an unremarkable looking interior and I was just going to grab some snacks but i saw they had a pretty extensive sandwich menu. I grabbed the honey turkey wrap and assumed it would be a standard boars head turkey wrap with avocado, but it was much more impressive. The wrap maker took his time to cut fresh avocados and sliced up the meat, before grilling the wrap. It was filling and delicious. The hot wrap with fresh veggies and meat was delightful, and the best wrap I have had in years. There are lots of delis but Plaza Express is a hidden gem to grab a great sandwich on the go. Don't be fooled by the unremarkable appearance!
