Bidrage med feedbackLunch with family, we were first people there yet it took an hour and a half for all the food to arrive. When my food arrived it was stone cold. Returned to the bar and told them I was returning it as it was cold to be met with oh ok . No apology or attempt to rectify. When they brought the bill over there was no asking if everything was ok or anything, food had been removed at my request from the bill. Despite this they still decided to put on the optional gratuity, its optional...dont put it on automatically, especially when you didnt deserve it. When asked to be removed it was met with a bad reaction and waiter stormed off. As well as that, when I had sent the food back, the open kitchen area had the chef moaning and looking at me as if I had offended his family. Suggest not having grumpy chef at the front when he is throwing his toys out his pram. I wrote a review on google to which I was told to email them, they never responded and also removed there google map listing.
I went there to meet a friend I waited 30 minutes to ask if could buy a drink the bartender was acting like I was invisible I'm 6 feet tall and black they was asking everyone around me if they been served but me. I'm used to think like this so I just left but felt proper discriminated proper racist.
We called in here for lunch with family including two very small children and had a lovely meal. The roast chicken was excellent. Portion size was big and service was friendly. I would not hesitate to return.
We had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant on a Sunday evening. We had booked a table with the hope of trying their famous roasts. When we arrived, I specifically asked the waitress if all the roasts were still available, and she confirmed that they were. However, five minutes after placing our order, the same waitress informed us that there were no roasts left. We had already ordered drinks, so it was too late to leave. The waitress then took our food order without writing anything down. When the food was delivered, only five out of six diners received their meals. The youngest member of our group, who was 10 years old, did not receive his food at all. The waitress gave no explanation, only saying that the food was on its way. After waiting for another 20 minutes with no update, we had to go to the kitchen ourselves to find out what was going on. It turned out that the waitress had forgotten to put in the order for the missing dish. Additionally, another dish was not as described on the menu. By that point, we were completely fed up with the whole experience. The manager did remove a couple of drinks from our bill, but it was not enough to make up for the poor evening. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
We booked to go for lunch for father 's Day joint with my dad 's birthday as we had been before and had a lovely Sunday lunch. It was going to be busy inevitably due to the occasion however the wait for the main courses was over an hour and when you are watching other people 's food go out before your own with out any communication from any of the staff it does become frustrating. We also felt that £9 for a small 'pot ' of strips of squid is over priced. The Mediterranean salad main also looked more like a starter as all if consisted of was giant couscous, sliced tomatoes and butternut squash. We did subtly complain and Sam (the manager) very kindly removed the cost of the main meals from the bill as he agreed the wait was unacceptable. We will definitely return as we were looked after I 'm the end. It was just a bit of an anticlimax in comparison to our previous experience. The food was very tasty and we had a nice day overall.
