Bidrage med feedbackThe Monkey Puzzle Pub in Sussex Gardens, London (U.K. is a beloved and well-regarded establishment. With a welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, represented by Darren, Alice and their team, always welcoming and serving everyone with a warm smile. With a great selection of beers and ales, the pub is a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. During Winters, I always feel thirsty for Frusty Ferret Amber Ale, as an instant Winter Warmer drink (my favourite and a rare Amber Ale, not commonly available in ordinary Pubs around London . During Summers I opt for a Cold and refreshing Lager Beer, from their wide selection of lagers. The food is delicious, with the Sunday Roast being a particular standout. The pub's location near Paddington Station makes it easily accessible, and the nearby Bed Breakfast options make it a convenient destination for travellers from around the world. Making the Pub a “True Global Melting Pot of Multi-Cultures”. The pub holds special memories for the writer, who has been a regular customer for decades and has shared many fond times with friends there. The owner, Gary, is described as being modest and humble, and is known to personally serve guests and tend to the pub himself. If ever he spots anyone among our group with a grumpy face, he joins in with his great sense of humour, makes us all change our moods with smiles and laughter. The writer wishes the pub continued success in the future Ash-Cash and Ash Karen
Having just landed in London hours before deciding to visit The Monkey Puzzle, what I can say is that this is the pub to visit. When my girlfriend and I arrived we could tell not only did this pub have an incredible layout and design, it had a lovely staff and a variety of outgoing and personable regulars. We also were lucky enough to have a chat with the owner Gary who I could not say enough nice things about. Over all an incredible experience and we will certainly be back, during this trip and any subsequent trips we have in the future! -Spencer
Fun place, cozy atmosphere, great service, really nice choice of foods and GREAT dessert (that hot cookie dough with ice cream was amazing!! And Gary (the Chief Bottle Washer, according to his business card) offered to email us the recipe can’t wait). Strongly recommend for a great pub experience
We discovered this pub by accident and went there several times during our stay in London : The food is really nice, the beer (or cider is good, service is very friendly, and the outdoor area is a secluded retreat from the bustling of the nearby street.
A fantastic little pub a little way out from the hustle and bustle of central London. A short walk from Paddington station this is a great place to have a quiet drink before or after a train journey a bit further away from the more packed places close by. There is a great amount of seating indoors and outdoors and the prices are very reasonable for a London pub.
