Bidrage med feedbackThe food was delightful, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable. This hidden gem is located right next to Temple station. I ordered the chicken curry and it was absolutely delicious.
The restaurant is fabulous and reminiscent of a bygone era. One can easily picture Agatha Christie writing one of her books as the train arrives. It's just so cool.
This cafe is located at the exit to Temple tube. They had a number of paninis on display and I had a vegetarian one filled with aubergine, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes and lettuce plus a large coffee drink in for £7.50. Quality was good. This place is not on my mental list of the great cafes of London but it was convenient and not at all bad.
Not sure how you can make such a mess of scrambled eggs with bacon, but Temple Bar nailed it! As usual I didn't want toast, but young lady serving today insisted that I paid for it anyway. It's a rule apparently? Hasn't been for two years at least but today it's a rule! Life's too short so move on. Bacon was inedible as so over cooked that it shattered when touched with a fork and eggs came floating in so much water that I had to drain it into a saucer. Poor effort and lousy attitude. Disappointing.
Worms in the sandwiches and covered in mould. Rude staff, now I realise I'm not the only one who's had a problem!
