Al Arez - City of London,Westminster

I went with friends and we had a wonderful meal. The service was excellent. The restaurant environment is likely more suited to a younger audience as we are in our late 50s/early 60s and may have appeared out of place. But as “foodies,” we couldn’t find fault with any dish. I left craving the green bean stew side dish Loubieh B’zit and weeks later was able to find a recipe that comes close…but I will have to travel to London again to truly satisfy my palette.

We aet only shawarma chicken potatoes. Very very expensive. 1 sandwich 9 pound. And not very good plus too small. Service not very kind. Atmosphere like working place.

My visit to this restaurant was one of my worst. Me and my friend was immediately judged by waiting staff and was treated as a last priority when it came to service. Here are the things we had to deal with: 1. waited 30 minutes just to get a menu, 2. was ignored on several occasions by several waiters before we were able to place an order, 3. food came at different times during the meal e.g. mains first and starters second, 4. given a wrong main course and told I would have to pay for it even though I never ordered it. 5. staff making insulting and racist remarks in their language not realising that my friend understood them. It was a difficult and challenging experience to go through as a black male which has left a extreme negative experience for me and my friend.

During our holiday, we visited the South Kensington restaurant twice. As a large family, it can be challenging to find a place to eat in London. However, at this restaurant, we were treated like family. The staff was exceptionally kind, even with our young kids. The food was delicious and plentiful, made with fresh ingredients that tasted like the best quality. Throughout our three weeks in London, we ate out frequently, and this restaurant stood out for its superior quality and service in comparison to pricier places. I highly recommend this establishment if you are visiting the main London museum area.

The food was poor quality and not cooked properly. The restroom was unclean and the restaurant overall was filthy. I do not recommend visiting this establishment.
