Thanh Dat - City of Knox

We came here with friends for our Christmas celebration. We enjoyed the fresh food, especially the large shrimp and the fish with coconut sauce. However, there were a couple of issues. Despite informing the staff of my mushroom allergy, the beef and black bean bowl still contained mushrooms, which I couldn't eat. Additionally, we ordered shrimp with cashews but there were no cashews in the dish, much to the disappointment of my friend who chose it. Despite these issues, we spent almost 2 hours at the restaurant enjoying Vietnamese/Chinese tea, chatting, eating, and drinking cappuccinos without feeling rushed. The restaurant is very popular among locals and Australians.

I love coming here after shopping in the markets. The food is always fresh and served quickly. The decor may be a bit outdated, but don't let that deter you. The food is exceptional and you won't be disappointed. They offer Swahili and Cantonese cuisine. Enjoy!

The service and food quality at this restaurant has noticeably declined. We experienced long wait times for our food and were disappointed by the attitude of the staff.

If you are looking for a Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant that does not offer exceptional food. We've been here for two years and their food has always been consistent. We have tried many dishes that were all of the highest quality, always with the...fresh ingredients. The service is fast and we are always greeted with a smile. This restaurant is a stand-out for me why?? Consistency in food. I've never left their disappointment with any court, and before we even left, we're planning on the next visit. Try it! You will not be disappointed

Horrible food , good soup, worst service in Melbourne.. Very rude waiters and not exactly clean, there is better around this area...
