Bidrage med feedbackI had an amazing brunch at this restaurant. The Japanese pancakes with salmon were fresh and full of flavor. The coffee was excellent and the service was great. If you're looking for something unique in Wheelers Hill, this is the place to go. There's also a nice park with a lake for kids to play in nearby, as well as a library.
We all had a great time at the restaurant and the portions were very generous. Mga has a pleasant atmosphere and the wait staff were friendly and attentive.
I have visited this restaurant twice and both times I received quick service, delicious food at a reasonable price. Most recently, I enjoyed a generous serving of sticky date pudding with ice cream and shredded coconut, which I highly recommend. All of the meals being served looked appetizing and were served in large portions. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded, and they have easy access for patrons with limited mobility. The indoor dining area is cozy, and there is also a great spot outside to sit when the weather is nice. Additionally, there are magnificent views of the Dandenongs from the front car park.
I only had the one dish; Pad Thai (veg) but it was poor. Lately I had to buy packet noodles from the vending machine at work. The dish I had here had the same gluggy consistency and the same over-tangy sauce. With so many good restaurants in Melbourne's east I think I'll skip a revisit.
Living in the south east suburbs of Melbourne, we have been spoiled with quality authentic Vietnamese restaurants in nearby Springvale, but to find this little gem within walking distance in Wheelers Hill was a bonus. We visit Chumanchu frequently, be it Breakfast, lunch, dinner or just a Vietnamese coffee. The menu is small, but all items are tasty, well cooked and MSG free. There is also a fairly extensive bar service if you chose to wash your green curry or pho down with a wine or 333 beer.Chumanchu?......Two thumbs up!!
