Duo Bistro - City of Kingston

We went to the Kingston farmers market and saw the interesting menu displayed in the window. We decided to give it a try. We started off with a very tasty lentil vegetable soup with two pieces of bread. My wife had the grilled cheese with mushroom pesto sandwich and side salad which she really enjoyed. I had the free range locally sourced hand burger with fries. The service was great and restaurant was clean. Plenty of natural light with nice table flowers.

Went there for brunch on a weekend. While the service was friendly, we had to ask 3 times before we got coffee refills. My bread pudding French toast was incredibly disappointing; the best part about it was the berry compote. The eggs that the table ordered were delicious, as was the duck croissant. It was fine overall, but I wouldn’t recommend it or want to go back.

This place is amazing! We got the French toast to share and then the Chefs breakfast (bottom) and the bacon mushroom Brie omelette. The coffee and OJ was great too. Huge fan of this place, will come here again!

Wonderful ambiance. A bit pricey, but something are worth it. We had the heirloom tomato appetizer, nice size prob, really fresh and tasty. The burger was wonderful. Everyone at the table raved about it. Pate, brie, cooked just the way you like. I had the chicken. It was salty and a smaller portions than I would have looked for the price. But it was very tender and the sides were wonderful.

Good food. Amazing outdoors dining. Vegan options. Delicious burgers. Oysters yah. Great neighborhood restaurant.
