Al Campanile - Citta di castello

It is very easy to find this restaurant in Citta di Castello. Just look up for a tall round stone tower and the Al Campanile is at its base. This would be classified even by locals as a low cost restaurant. It is self service, in that you look at foods displayed in a cabinet, pick up your tray, plate and cutlery and ask or point to the food of your choice. They have hot and cold dishes and salads. You can also make up your own vegetarian only choice. All the food we had in our group of 8 was completely delicious. The decor is basic and canteen like, but all this simplicity is reflected in your bill, which should prove exceptionally small and excellent value for money. There were soft drinks/mineral waters, beers and wines on offer, again all good value. A very satisfying and relaxed lunch finished with a delicious double espresso and tiramisu.

Location pretty, left without too many pretenses thinking about the organization of a standard canteen, here we found the first pleasant surprise; wooden tables both inside and outside nothing to do with the aseptic canteens, contained and welcoming environment, steel cutlery (or choice of compostable material) and glass glasses. The food absolutely of quality and good availability of choice (at least three options for each flow) despite being close to the closing time. Friendly and friendly managers. To try again.

Fantastic self-service restaurant, right under the cylindrical bell tower of castle city. With only 15€ it is possible to make an abundant lunch consisting of delicacies. The 2 boys who served us are very kind and super helpful. I haven't had lunch so long. Congratulations!
