Kings Head Hotel - Cirencester

The staff at the reception were friendly and efficient when addressing our questions. The dinner and breakfast were both of high quality, with excellent service from the staff. The cozy fireplace was popular on a rainy Monday evening, particularly with the Portuguese member of staff.

I have visited this restaurant on many Sundays and have always enjoyed it. However, they recently switched from serving Sunday lunch to a Sunday brunch, which was not what we were expecting. The website should be updated to reflect this change. The service was slow, as we had to ask three times for someone to take our order and were told that they thought we had already ordered. On the other hand, other customers who came in after us were served quite quickly, so it may have just been a one-time issue. The rest of the service was okay and the staff were friendly. The main course was nice, but the desserts were not enjoyable at all. At over £21 for just the roast, it did not seem like good value for money. It's a real shame because the restaurant had a winning formula before - it was always busy and we had to book a table in advance. However, this time it was virtually empty. I hope they go back to what they were doing well before.

The atmosphere at this restaurant was calm and cozy. We were seated earlier than our reservation time, which was a pleasant surprise.

Great food, great service, great times. Came for a Froday night meal and it did the job.

Service was fine but food offering was average. Interesting what they were doing with brunch lunch but not sure it worked for us.
