Goose Elder - Cincinnati

The food was very good, just a bit on the salty side. My only problem was with the service. We ordered coffee and were never asked again if we wanted a refill. Our water glasses were never refilled. Our food was delivered and not once did our server come to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. I had to flag down our server to both order and ask for the check. It would be one thing if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t. Both times I had to flag down the server he was just leaning against a counter doing nothing. It wasn’t just us with the bad service either, the table next to us had to ask for a check as well and left very angry. I watched the server tell who I assumed was the manager about the unhappy customers and he made no effort to go and try to fix or smooth over the situation. Not sure we will be back, which is too bad, because the food was delicious.

Every single dish I tried was amazing. I would have liked better service and more sophisticated ambience.

Service was great. Ryan and Sarah were outstanding in taking care of us and we had wonderful meals and the hummingbird cake was amazing!
