The Gallery - Chumphon

Had the most amazing 10 course meal here for my 21st. Birthday. Chris was so welcoming and so helpful when it was about planning everything. The food was exquisite as nothing you ever have before or probably ever again! The cook combined a large mix of local ingredients all either directly from the sea or the on-site farm. The view from the building is perfect for a real Koh Tao pink sky sunset, Chris has actually built something magical here. The whole evening was perfect from the beginning to the end if I had more than 5 stars.

This place is absolutely stunning. the venue is spectacular and the owner chris is brilliant. trust the chef is a wonderful experience, with incredible and really interesting eating. the declarations for each dish have really highlighted the uniqueness of eating. it was wonderful that they accommodated a series of different food allergies/thetarian preferences. highly recommended.

If they are looking for an incomparable Thai eating experience then not further. my fiancée and I enjoyed dinner in the gallery to celebrate his birthday and we were blown away all night. first the prospects of the gold bar, where we enjoyed a drink before dinner during sunset, were breathtaking. for the meal, the owner, chris, was so courteous and explains each of the 10 courses in excellent detail as well as the history and meaning behind them. the ingredients were also the freshest they find and with such care. each dish was full of taste and served a purpose. this was a unique and lifelong experience – if they are in koh tao, they must visit!

Dinner in the gallery was by far our gastronomic experience in Thailand. The family that belongs to the gallery was very warm and hospitable, and made us feel at home while they ate us through ten course of some of the best guided Thai food. The vast majority of the food is cultivated on the grounds of the gallery or purchased directly by breeders and fishermen on Koh Tao. The food in the gallery is a fascinating experience as Chris and his wife explain the history, cultural meaning and health benefits of every ingredient. The ambience and fantastic views of the sunset from the open dining room of the gallery high above the Sairee Bay are not to be missed.

Had an amazing evening here at “trust the chef” A very unique dining experience and some of Thailands best produce. Every dish has a story. Staff are exceptional and made everyone feel at home. Next time I’m back to Koh Tao I’ll be coming back.
