The Pines Cafe - Christmas Valley

It's is no longer called The Pine Cafe! It's called The Farm House! Good Food exception of there pancakes! And when you tell them that they were bad! They look at like your crazy! They don't get the grill hot enough! And when they see you didn't eat them because of taste! You are still charged the full price! Lack of responsibility of a owner! Just laughed about it! Haven't been back!

Have been there and loved all the food and visiting

Now The SAGE HEN normally the food has been good lately though it has gone down hill. I ordered the meat loaf dinner again had it twice prior, was good. Today was brought on plate like a giant meat ball, taste was off with very little gravy and some sort of biscuit (wasn't very tasty) instead of a fresh roll again,second time ate there no rolls and once before had forgotten the roll. There is so few places to eat you have to go back to see if gets better but time running out for me to go back. My wife's dinner was pretty bad also we have chicken fried steak and normally very good and plenty to eat today white gravy was bad according to waitress so either Brown gravy or sausage gravy no flavour sausage gravy and then same biscuit instead of fresh roll said something to owner and cook. We did not get any reduction in price or apology just we didn't change a thing. Quite wrong.

Had a late lunch at this country cafe in Christmas Valley today. Really fun, friendly place. Ginger, was my great and speedy waitress ...my Grilled Cheese, bowl of Chunky Tomato Soup and 'side ' salad were all REALLY good. Each item was better than I 've had in a long time. Actually enough for two meals/people. $5.00 soup and sandwich. I added a side salad for $3.50, and it was so BIG, with lots of vegies....and fresh. A dinner bowl size! (Yes, I will be having these great leftovers for dinner, LOL.. While enjoying my meal others were saying the Cheeseburgers were the best within 100 miles...based on my meal, I can believe it. Daily specials for $5.00, too. Check them out...they do it right. : Go Cubs!

We dined at The Pines for the first time last weekend. The food is great, the service is A+, and the environment is welcoming. With all of the restaurant choices we have in Bend, we were very impressed with this place.
