Bidrage med feedbackOn our way to the Kootenays we stopped in the tiny town of Hedley, BC for a a few pics and a bite to eat... Lucky for us we happened across the Gold Dust Pub. Here is where the wild west meets the 50's meets the 21st century... with not much of the 21st Century to be seen. In an old turn of the century building, the pub has a great amount of charm, with its solid wood floors, wood stove in the corner, and what my wife describes as the "coolest bathroom ever" The beer was deliciously cold and the beef dip sandwich I ordered was amazing. Real slow cooked roast beef and a delicious au jus. The staff were very friendly, as small town pub staff always seem to be. It turned out that the waitress was sisters of a friend of mine back home... small world. We were invited to stay for karaoke but unfortunately had to head out. The only downside was that the staff really seemed intent on watching monster truck racing on the pubs only television. My wife loved her steak sandwich. It should be noted that I don't think this establishment is wheelchair friendly.
I had a wonderful evening at this restaurant - affordable prices, welcoming staff and customers. The pool tables were in good condition and only $5 per hour, while the beer was enjoyable. This establishment has quickly become my favorite dive bar.
I had a terrible experience playing pool at this restaurant because I couldn't find any chalk. The pool is affordable though, only $4 per hour.
The only reasons to visit this place are cheap beer and inexpensive pool.
