China At Lees - Christchurch

I ordered Chinese food and the driver called to say he was on his way. I requested delivery to my apartment due to the rain, but there was silence on the other end. Ten minutes later, I called again and the driver claimed to be outside, but was not. When I called the restaurant, they questioned why I couldn't go out in the rain to collect the food. I explained that I was expecting delivery, not pick-up. They said they couldn't find my location, despite never having had an issue with delivery before. I was then informed that the chef, not a driver, was delivering the food, and when I mentioned everyone has GPS, I was accused of being rude. I decided to cancel my order and order from another restaurant. Overall, the customer service was extremely poor, and this experience will be my first and last time ordering from this restaurant.

During our weekend stay in the area, we received a recommendation for this takeaway restaurant. We enjoyed the best Chinese food we've ever had! The service was excellent, and the food was delivered hot and on time. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.

Ordered a takeaway a couple of days ago whilst we were on a short break at Sandhills. Phoned through the order and it was delivered very promptly. Delicious food, friendly staff and great menu and would not hesitate to order again. Wonderful. Thank you so much!

Owner very friendly and brought the order to the car after 10 minutes. Had chicken fried rice and spring rolls with a portion of curry sauce. All good.

During our holiday in the area near a caravan site, we came across Lees’ Chinese takeaway and decided to give it a try. We were pleased with the polite staff who offered to bring our food to our car when it was ready. The wait time was short, and the food was delicious and perfectly cooked. We ordered Lee’s special fried rice and Lee’s special curry chips, and also received complimentary prawn crackers. The meal was so good that we returned for another takeaway, and the crispy shredded beef was particularly enjoyable. We will definitely be using this takeaway again when we are in the area.
