Bidrage med feedbackWent here because of the good reviews they had on Google. The food was just ok, nothing special. I've been to Taiwan before and while the owners appear to be Taiwanese, I can't say the food/bubble tea tastes authentic. We tried their fried chicken description on their menu says the portion is bigger than your plate yet the chicken is too thin just to make it look big. Bubble tea didn't taste nice, either. The pearls were all clumped together and the taro milk tea didn't taste like taro at all. Service wasn't too good either, even my husband commented that the lady at the counter doesn't seem to want us there. Apparently you get a free milk tea if you give them 5 stars on Google which might explain the other ratings here.
A wonderful little resturant, that makes rich delicious meals. I have never been disappointed by a meal I have eaten here, and I have been coming here for years. Well worth a stop.
Loved the ambience and food here. Small but enjoyable.
Nice little place, the ambiance and decor is spot on, only wish their food was to the same standard, which isn’t bad per se, but kind feel it’s not quite there either.
I came down to Christchurch from Auckland and I have to say, this is the best Taiwanese food I've had in NZ! To me, an Aucklander, the prices were superb and portions were exactly what I needed to fill me up. I loved the wintermelon milk tea as I haven't tried something like that before and their pearls were the perfect texture. I loved their prawn omelette (a must try) as I haven't had one in Auckland that has been done as well as this. We also got the Squid vermicelli dish and that was cheap and filling, with an extra dose of heartiness as well. In terms of ambience, I loved how much effort the owners have put into decorating the place to look Taiwanese loved the movie posters. If you get the chance to, drop by this place and I'm sure you won't regret it!
