Bidrage med feedbackCatching up with friends, we went to a venue of their choice - Vue on Halcyon. I had no idea where it was and went 5 minutes out of my way when I realized it was just off the the start of Blacksprings road at the Wonga Park end. What great place! Right on top of the hill - the views are magnificent and I can see why it is a popular wedding venue. I had an absolutely delicious brunch of salmon benedict and the wife had traditional eggs benedict. Both were generous in their portions, served on crusty bread and both were accompanied by fried tomato and a hash brown. One friend had a large omelette and the other mushrooms on toast - both said they were great. The service was excellent with welcoming smiles. We will be back!
We recently visited Vue on Halcyon for a breakfast with girlfriends, we had booked for 10 but only 6 turned up which was no problem for them, they were happy for us to stay where we were, we have one friend whose birthday we were celebrating and she wanted to change her order slightly, once again no problem, the young gentleman waiter was very helpful and came and took photos of us on the deck, nothing was too much problem. Surroundings are beautiful, food is very reasonably priced and all in all a very enjoyable breakfast!!
Looking for somewhere new to try for lunch. Tapas menu mentioned in reviews sounded good, so I rang. "Hi, can I book for lunch for two people?" Response, "Sorry, we are only open Saturday and Sunday" ok, so today is Friday, bummer. "Thanks, bye".Perhaps having that information published would have saved me a call, but no matter. The thing that stands out is the stupid, and I do mean stupid, follow up.About 15 minutes after that call I got a text message and I will quote:"Thank You for calling Vue on Halcyon. Congratulations on your engagement! We would love you to say I Do at Vue. Please visit our website...."Some days you just have to shake your head in wonder......
Fabulous venue, sensational service and the food perfect!!! Had a lovely day with a close friend chatting over great food and perfect blend of wines to taste. Bought some of our favourites to enjoy at home.
Our family visited Vue for breakfast on Mother's Day Saturday and I had the delicious and very filling french toast, the caramel sauce was amazing. The others in our party had the farmer's breakfast, the meals sizes were very generous and had very good quality produce- toast, mushrooms, sausage, bacon, hash browns and eggs to your liking with a lovely relish on the side. I had the best chai latte I've ever had. Service was good and the venue is simply beautiful set in a lovely vineyard.
