Lovely place. Great atmosphere. Dog friendly. Food was excellent. Staff could be a little more attentive especially when we were trying to order more wine and pay at the end. Probably just need a bit more training. We will be back

We ate here two nights in a row as we were staying at the hotel. The staff were really friendly and service was consistently good. The menu is utterly delicious but very limited for vegans (no starter just bread and olive oil which was disappointing as we had emailed and called ahead . Between us we recommend the beef burger, the grain bowl with cabbage (delicious and filling! and the vegan version of the cauliflower dish. Also we recommend the chips and curry sauce but sauce could do with being thickened up for more satisfying dipping!! After dinner it is worth trying to bag yourself the comfy chairs by the fire in the bar and if you fancy, there’s a scrabble board and a couple of other games to keep you occupied! Lovely!
