The Wild Strawberry Cafe - Chiltern

Not a great breakfast. Lovely setting but the food was not well cooked. The bacon was burnt and the poached eggs were undercooked. For the price you would expect better. Have been twice and not great either time. Shame as it could be so good in the beautiful dining room.

The variety of soups, sandwiches, cakes, and pancakes offered at this restaurant are not big meals, but they are ideal for a quick lunch with family while exploring Keswick.

The food did not meet our expectations. We ordered an English breakfast, but it arrived cold. They were also out of pastries and the desserts were also not flavorful. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.

This restaurant is a favorite for our family, especially during Covid restrictions. We enjoy sitting in the lovely outdoor picnic area to safely enjoy our meals. The food is always excellent and the staff are very friendly.

Lovely surroundings, great little shop onsite and pick your own fruit…. However, the coffee is made by machine so average at best and better to avoid the bought in cakes We had a brownie which was basically an inedible solid lump of chocolate! Having said that they must be doing something right as it’s always busy.
