Bidrage med feedbackTocino is the best sausage I've ever tried. It's very similar to Taiwan sausage but sweeter and more flavorful. The fish was a little fishy, but the steak was good, especially considering the price. The porridge was impressive, and I learned that putting lemon in porridge is a great idea. The service was typical of a small restaurant, with no unnecessary social talk. I actually enjoyed the neat and efficient service.
Busy delicious breakfast spot. Cute, family friendly atmosphere. Amazing tocino garlic rice and lugaw (rice porridge) among many options on the menu. Looking forward to the steak next time!
Once seated, we ordered the combo plates. When inquiring about the champorado side dish, we were informed they did not have it. When we asked about a replacement, the Filipino waitress mentioned it was offered as a complimentary item, so it didn't matter. This left my friend and I puzzled as to why they would be rude to their own people. The Latino staff members, on the other hand, were much more courteous and friendly towards us. Unfortunately, one of our orders was incorrect - we received a steak and bangus combo instead of what we had requested. This mistake was surprising considering the waitress had repeated our orders and inquired about how we preferred our steak cooked. They did rectify the error promptly, which was appreciated. The food itself was undeniably delicious; I might even go so far as to say their tocino was better than Kasama's. However, the subpar service was a major letdown. Improvement in this area is crucial for enhancing the overall dining experience at the restaurant.
Food tastes like authentic Filipino! ? we ordered Longganisa and Pork chop. Champorado is complimentary on the side and it was AMAZING!! (Not in photo)Lugaw was complimentary too.So glad to have found a Filipino breakfast place and the staff were all friendly and accommodating.
This was the best meal I had in Chicago! The complimentary lugaw was a thoughtful and hospitable touch. I couldn't resist going back for the big bangus.
