Shokran Moroccan Grill - Chicago

Very nice, hidden gem. The food tasted great and the pita was fresh and amazing. Though I wish the portions were bigger (I personally eat a lot), I still felt satisfied in the end. Service was solid and they made a point to ask about any foodallergies from the get go. I'm not qualified to say whether this tasted like real Moroccan food but I can say for certain thatit was delicious and had a lot of unique flavors that combined beautifully. I would love to come here again. I'd give 5 stars ifthe portions were a bit bigger given the prices.

Owners super nice excellent service the tagines are individuals server meaning one per person but they have other options for more than one. The atmosphere of the place gives you a real Moroccan vibe.

What an awesome find! I was visiting from Los Angeles and came here with Chicago friends who are long/ time regulars. We ate family style, with hummus, pita, and merguez to start. It?s BYOB so the Prosecco we carried in was a nice complement. We had themixed grill and shrimp (appetizer) next with a red wine. For dessert, because none of us wanted sweets, we had chicken Bastilla. It was divine ! The service was terrific attentive, but not at all rushed. BTW, be sure yo bring cash no debit/creditaccepted. I cannot recommend this spot hiighly enough!

It was our first time trying Moroccan food, and it was absolutely delicious! The staff is super friendly, you definitely feel welcomed. Highly recommend!!

Food is definitely 5start. The whole experience is what made me put 3. My friends and I had fotor there this past Ramadan. The food was great, but one of the servers was extremely rude and condescending, we ask which dish is better and the answer was ifit wasn?t good it wouldn?t be on the menu. We asked for yogurt drink as it was Ramadan ?traditional drink for fotor in my county most of the Arabic world, Iran Turkey? and he was like we do not serve that in Morocco in Ramadan, no we do not have it,lastly, I was concerned that they forgot to charge us for a dish, the way he pointed me to other stapled small price of paper?which I didn?t notice? was extremely rude. We had to tip the guy who cleaned up ?in cash? avoiding to put a tip on the bill.It?s unfortunate! The food is good but eating in a restaurant is about the experience not just the food.
