Seadog Sushi Bar - Chicago

Seadog has become one of my favorite sushi places. The fish is always fresh, innovative rolls as well as “classics” and a wide variety of nigiri/sashimi. Also some great vegetarian/vegan options. I love the poké bites appetizer. Their outdoor patio is really cute and since it is BYOB it’s a really affordable meal!

I requested the table by the window. It wasn’t given to me because it was reserved, well we finished our dinner and that table was never occupied by anyone.

The place has good sushi and a nice outdoor patio. However, their service was horrendous in addition to what smelt like sewer gas inside the place, The waitress was probably the least competent waitress I have had in years she messed up the order, twice, then Came by and apologized for not having something on the menu saying that they would make up for it with noodles. They then went ahead and charged us for the noodles as a separate dish. They took it off after a debate with the manager. The place is a BYOB but the waitress had no foresight to tell us that there was a liquor store across the street and instead just said ‘we do t serve alcohol’ and that was that. Seriously avoid the aggravation.

The food is always great and the courtyard is so lovely!
