Same Day Cafe - Chicago

We didn’t eat. We just had shakes with liquor in them. They were small cups, lightly spiked but very tasty. This place was very homey and the staff were nice. The staff was so good I thought our waitress was the owner and really she was just a new employee. Thats a good thing!

Egg salad was wonderful, a little slacking on the amount of egg but the bread is amazing. Nice staff and Quick kitchen! Will be back!

I absolutely love this restaurant! It's a hidden gem with a variety of delicious choices and a charming atmosphere. I enjoy visiting, especially on cold winter days, as the cozy ambiance, tasty food, and friendly staff never fail to brighten my mood. As someone with celiac disease, I appreciate the abundance of gluten-free options available and the staff's attentiveness in preventing cross-contamination.

The food is always top-notch. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy with a home-cooked feel, but it's a little pricey.

We arrived at the restaurant on a weekday afternoon at 3pm. Other establishments in the area were not serving food at that time. I was with two gluten-free individuals who were hungry and concerned about their dining options. Same Day Cafe was able to accommodate our dietary needs with friendly service, even though it was an unusual time of day. The house-made sodas were delicious, and we were impressed by the selection of wine and cocktails. I will definitely be returning soon for another bowl of soup.
