Parson's Chicken Fish - Chicago

I went to this restaurant for lunch on a weekday after Christmas. It was very quiet, but I could easily picture it bustling with customers and noise. I had previously dined there outside on a summer evening, and the noise level was perfectly acceptable. The fried food was delicious, and I enjoyed a fantastic non-alcoholic michelada for only $5. Our waiter was attentive and friendly.

We've been here a number of times, usually after a DePaul concert event. The location is Lincoln Park, so excellent if you're already in the area, but maybe not worth a special trip do to lean parking options. The service is good, not great, but definitely not bad. Sometimes, if you're interested in moving on rather than just hanging out an hour, you may have to flag down your server for the bill. No biggie, just don't keep waiting if you need to get to your next destination. The food is very good, niche fried chicken fish burgers. Great (cult following) hushpuppies with fun sauces, and the chicken has been good every time. Burgers are decent, but fish not their strong suit. Overall, come in if you're in the area. Fun menus for both food and drink, and a great place to hang out with some friends!

A great patio dining experience. the vibes were great and it was so cute people brought their dogs! we ordered the loaded fries (with spicy mayo as our sauce of choice) and the hot chicken sandwich. i thought both were really delicious and also very filling, even though we shared the fries. would definitely love to come back another time to try more of their menu items. edit: the text ratings of this review remain the same from October 2023, videos were uploaded later
