Machetes Big Quesadillas - Chicago

On the way to drop off a friend at O'Hare Airport we decided to stop at the closest place to eat. The place we stopped was Machetes.Machetes are basically quesadillas made with corn tortillas but they are fused together to make a very long one which is about the size of a machete. Hence the name.I had the birria machete junior which was the size of a regular quesadilla and boy it was so good. My friend had the regular carne asada machete which was enough food for two people and she also enjoyed it.The service was great and the workers there were very friendly. The restaurant was clean but drab in decor.The place is easy to miss since it's small and their sign is blocked by fencing from the property next to it. When I missed it I had to loop around the block to get back to it.If I'm ever around that way again I will definitely drop by.

Great taste of the real big quesadillas.Vegetarian options: Nopales and Rajas are good choices of vegetarian recipes.
