Hot Woks Cool Sushi - Chicago

We went on a Friday night and were seated immediately. There was an offputting smell in the restaurant that dissipated the further we walked into the restaurant. The sushi was ok. Our waitress was pleasant enough. Overall the whole experience was justok.

By myself late afternoon. Only one in the dinning room. Ordered Tuna Salad and Sashimi platter. Everything is great except the rice with the platter. The rice must have been cooked at least hours ago, cold and hard. As an Asian place, rice is as importantas pasta at an Italian place. One disappointment overshadowed all the greatness of the food. Server put in the effort, butshould not have shown up with my order in one hand and multiple take-out bags in another. THIS LED TO HIS THUMB TOUCHING THEFOOD HE BROUGHT TO ME. Hope this good intentioned review lead to improvement.

This place was okay. I have had better ramen and maki. The Untraditional Egg Rolls were my favorite flavor of my meal. Service was great. They gave me plenty of time looking through the many options with no feeling of being rushed or waiting. I never hadto ask for a refill on my water and the food came out quickly. I don't know if this is a place known for ramen but I would notget it again. The broth tasted great however the noodles were mushy and almost like overcooked packaged noodles. The pork bellywas bland.

We are from the city and love Chinese, so we thought we would try this place. I like the mix of Chinese and sushi. great place for all likes:

Cheap sushi at a very cheap price. good quality ingredients and fish were in a reasonable fresh. fast service and other dishes such as the mandarin chicken, panang curry and tofu steak were great.
