Coco Club - Chicago

I had made a reservation for Coco Club through OpenTable on a Friday night at 9pm. Based on the description online, I was under the impression that it was a speakeasy themed bar/club with live music and open until 4am. It was said to be located on the second level above another restaurant/bar. However, when we arrived, the staff seemed unaware of our reservation and the concept of Coco Club as we understood it. It appeared that Coco Club is actually a banquet hall rented out for specific events. The staff did not offer any explanation and simply informed us that they had no reservations for that night, allowing us to leave. It would have been more professional to clarify the confusion and suggest staying for drinks or dinner downstairs instead.

The atmosphere at this restaurant was fantastic! The addition of live music was a major highlight, and the service was excellent as well. The standout item on the menu was the martini Sokyo, which was delicious. The concept of a speak easy was also really cool. It was surprising to find such a gem in Brighton Park.

It would have been helpful if they had explained the situation and why the venue is listed on a website for dinner reservations, while directing us to the restaurant or bar downstairs for dinner or drinks.

The atmosphere was great! Live music was a big plus and the service was also great! The drinks (martini sokyo) were the best. The talking simple idea is also super brilliant. Who knew this place was in Brighton Park?
