Charming place. The food was so good, very good taste. Everybody polite. It was crowded but didn’t matter, we had a great time. We asked queso fundido as appetizer and the taco tower (12 tacos) everything was delicious.

Great place for a Friday night with some friends . Off street seating with great views and the bar area inside is really nice .

This will be the last time I recommend this place to ANYONE. Last year, this restaurant was top notch! No wait time and fast service. Today, total opposite. We had reservations at 6:45pm. We got there at 6:37 and waited. While we were waiting we noticed a couple standing there before us. Time goes by and everyone who comes AFTER us is quickly being seated. So I turn to ask the couple who has been standing there how long were they standing there and they proceed to say almost TWO HOURS!!!! So I obviously asked if they had a reservation and they said no. Okay , that’s why. But people who continued to come after us was being seated. I HATE to be that person but yes, THE AMERICAN WHITE PEOPLE were being seated first before my Hispanic self. Now it’s 7:31 and I had still yet to be seated. My husband finally goes up and ask the “manager” if our table would be ready anytime soon and he acted surprised and confused. Probably forgot about us. ANYWAYS , the kind person I am, I ask the couple to join us for dinner so they no longer had to wait. We had an AMAZING time with each other. The food was not it. The drinks were eh. Like I said, the food and drinks were better last year! I felt like they were very stingy on the food. Our waiter was GREAT! Not his fault for our experience. The manager was eh! Now would I recommend people here? If you’re white then yes cause obviously you’re welcomed here but if you’re a POC , NOPE. Oh and Hispanic people could afford your white washed Hispanic food! Our table spent $600 on food. Let’s stop judging the book by its cover.

Upscale Mexican restaurant near theater district. Happy hour featuring cocktails, mock tails, weekly specials including $5 tacos. Delicious fresh guacamole and various tacos with innovative fillings.

I am so impressed with Barrio. The service was hands down the best service I have experienced. The restaurant was out of 2 drink requests for my husband. Management went out of their way to ensure everything else was perfect to make up for it. I wish I knew the two ladies names, but they were AMAZING. Our server Dwight was also really great! Together they made it a great date night experience for my husband and I. The food was also really good. I would give the food 4 stars. The service and ambiance together knocks 5 stars out the park. I must say I am a huge Mexican foodie and it takes a lot to impress me, so one may even say the food is also 5 stars. Either way I would hands down recommend and will be back again.
