Good golly...I grew up as a South Dakota farm kid and always had big meals....this place matched that. Breakfast sandwich was huge and a huge helping of hash browns and tasted fantastic. Staff was quick and incredible friendly. Old style cafe...feltlike walking into the past. Fantastic on every level. I starred it on Google maps in case I get back that way.

Great food. Awesome buffet on the weekends. Good coffee. . Order the German coffee and you probably end up buying a pound of it which they sell. Fast and friendly service.

Great food, large portions and great friendly waitresses. Saturday and Sunday buffet is very good. Recommend highly!

I came here with my mom, my daughter (6 months) and myself. We were sat at a 3 person table to which the other spots said no seating. however, we had to make room for the high chair, so being courteous we moved the chair to the side of the table whereit slide in all the way so it was out of the way.... a waitress RUDELY walked by and grabbed the chair and said WE CANT SITPEOPLE HERE.. and proceeded to put it on the end of the table which also said no seating.... but the chair sat out all the way.Confused by this gesture.. we let it go.. We waited 15 minutes before we decided we 'd just have the buffet because we receivedno service. We ate our entire meal with still no service. As we were waiting for a bill the waitress FINALLY came over andasked if she 'd like us to take the plates.. Still not asking if we wanted drinks. We watched 4 tables come in AFTER us and getdrinks. As we sat there invisible. We also never received a bill.. we just left our table after another 15 minutes of waitingor so after we were done. We stopped by to pay and told the lady we didn 't have a ticket and explained the situation. albeit itwasn 't her fault. We just thought they should know. Food was ok. In short: We ate a meal we didn 't even want.... got nodrinks... didn 't receive a bill and was yelled at AND ignored. Will not be returning.

I stopped at the Chetek Cafe under the recommendation of a local friend. The service was great and the food was even better. I got the Bavarian steak breakfast which I was unable to finish due to the generous serving size(pictured below after I mixed upthe dish). If your in a hurry this isn't the place to go. But not do to a lack of service or slow kitchen staff but instead dueto how busy they are because the food is so dang good.
