Chilacates - CHESTNUT HILL

The place was really nice. Like the theme. It was cool.The food was good. No regrets.

The food here is great, and it's a great place to stop for a quick meal. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are all tasty. Before you come for breakfast or brunch, you should call to make sure they're open. Today we placed an order via their text messaging system, and received an automatic reply saying it would be ready in 20 minutes (at ~10:10am). The website says they open at 9, and the open sign in the window was lit. Despite all that, the doors were locked and an employee informed us that they aren't opening until 11am today.

Best Mexican food around this area, I highly recommended!

When I'm writing a 5 star review without any photos, it usually means it was so good that I was distracted from picture taking. The food at Chilacates is that delicious. Great beans and rice, the tortas are incredible, the burritos fantastic, good sized portions, and plenty of options for vegetarians.

Love this place. Once you walk in you will notice the Frida painting on the wall (right side). Food is mouth watering delicious. The crew is amazing. Staff very friendly and also can communicate in Spanish with them. A new gem in Chestnut Hill!
