Never left a review publicly before but Giorgio's have forced my hand with it. Booked on a Sunday night 6:30pm and we were three adults and a one year old. Service was very poor and food took 45 mins to arrive which was surprising when others were being seated and receiving their meals first. No sign posting about food delay. Food eventually arrived after us asking about delay and it was mediocre. To make matters worse, they applied another customers drinks bill to our bill which I only noticed when I got home. Mistakes happen so I wasn't too concerned but what did concern me was their total lack of interest in sorting it and arrogance. I chased a couple of times for one week and they said they would have to check CCTV and would do this when they had time as November is a busy month! This response I could not quite believe and they clearly never had any intention of correcting their mistake. If I had the time to stand outside with a banner telling people not to go in I would as its the least they deserve. Do yourself a favour and visit somewhere else for your meal and save yourself any undue hassle as clearly there is a practice going on here loading customer bills for items they had not consumed and hoping they just pay it without noticing like I did.
We have visited Georgia's many times and have always enjoyed the delicious food and great service. Last night, we were celebrating my son's 13th birthday. Despite it being a school night, we wanted to create lasting memories. When we arrived at 6pm, the restaurant was very cold and we had to keep our coats on the entire time. Our drinks were served promptly by a friendly waitress who took our food orders. However, our food did not arrive until 7.10pm, leaving us hungry and frustrated as we still had homework to do. Unfortunately, when our pizzas finally came, they were cold and soggy, and the garlic bread was soaked in oil. After asking for our food to be reheated, we had to wait an additional 20 minutes. The service staff showed no hospitality, no smiles, and no sense of urgency. There were no apologies or offers of parmesan cheese, and to top it off, a £22 service charge was added to our bill which we refused to pay. This experience was extremely disappointing and we will not be returning to this restaurant. It was a negative and unwelcoming visit that failed to meet our expectations.
Wow, this was such a surprise, the food was 1st class. Worthy of a 5 star London or Manchester restaurant, the food was exceptional, the staff were very knowledgeable about their food (makes a change from the staff running to the kitchen for answers) , they were at ease with their explanation, no coughing and spluttering. The food was delicious.
The discount for half price pizza and pasta was not clearly advertised at this restaurant. It was not specified on the online menu or on the board outside that the offer was per person. After speaking with a staff member, the issue was not resolved to my satisfaction. As a result, I was very disappointed with our dining experience and do not plan on returning. I was also surprised to learn that the manager was present during the incident, yet did not attempt to assist or resolve the situation. This lack of customer service and poor management reflects poorly on the restaurant. They should prioritize ensuring that customers are satisfied and leave happy.
