Refuse Café - Chester-le-Street

First time visit to enjoy an evening bistro night with a large group. Take your own drinks! Had a lovely potted prawn starter, jerk chicken and dessert of citrus mousse. Will return and recommend it! Great staff and volunteers.

Really enjoyed my visit. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Great concept with avoiding unnecessary waste. Loved the decor and the fact it felt spacious. Not cramned on top of each other. Friendly staff. Food snd coffee was good.

Love the ethical values of the cafe. The broth I had was very tasty along with cake coffee the pay as you can afford ethos makes it accessible for people on a low income. The volunteers and staff who run it deserve a medal for the work they do. Will definitely be back. Thankyou

Great food brilliant value for money and the staff are amazing. Very welcoming and warm atmosphere. Food of very good quality and excellent customer service. If you don't have much money then you can also pay with your time if you have a skill or even wash the dishes. They never turn anyone away especially if you don't have anything or homeless. Amazing concept and stops food from going to waste. Keep up the great work. Love you all loads. All to help save this amazing planet earth
